Evidence status
The exact numbers behind today's price context — where they came from, how old they are, and when they're due for another look. See Methodology for how the numbers are used, not just where they're from.
Current snapshot
- Snapshot ID
- gg-ebay-active-2026-08-22
- Rule-set version
- 1.3.0
- Observation date
- August 22, 2026
- Record count
- 19
The observation date shown is the oldestacross every evidence record, not the newest. A partial refresh deliberately leaves the models it didn't touch on their old date, and reporting the newest record would let a stale range hide behind a fresh-looking page.
Channel mix
- 19 records — Marketplace asking price (mixed sellers)
Channels are never merged or averaged into one another (see Methodology) — every result uses exactly one channel end to end.
Refresh cadence
GadgetGauge commits to reviewing every model's evidence at least once a month. That commitment is mechanical, not aspirational: the next refresh is due by September 22, 2026 — one calendar month after the observation date above — and the 45-day freshness window that /api/health and the caution callout above both check gives 15 days of slack past that date before the evidence is formally stale.
The refresh itself is an offline, operator-reviewed process — an eBay search page is saved by hand, parsed, and reviewed before any number reaches this file (docs/runbooks/evidence-refresh.md). Nothing on GadgetGauge calls a live pricing API at request time; see Methodology for what that process can and can't verify.
